To predict whether or not the third card will be higher than the lowest card, and lower than the highest card.
A how to guide on playing Red Dog
(1) Player places a bet on the table.
(2) The dealer deals out two cards.
(3) If the player thinks the next card will have a value that is less than the
highest of the two cards but higher than the lowest card he will double his bet
by raising. If he doesn't predict the next card will have a value that is less
than the highest of the two cards but higher than the lowest card he will stand
pat. If a pair is dealt or two consecutive cards are dealt, raises will be void.
(3) Dealer deals out the middle card, and will pay-out the player if the middle
card has a lower value than the highest card and a higher value than the lowest
card, according to the pay schedule below.
